Each day, we send out energy into the world and get energy back. Not only does energy emit out and affects those around us, but it also resonates within us and impacts our own energy stores. In order to feel sustained and not drained, we’ll look at how we can keep good energy and attract positivity into our lives.
Surround yourself with positive people
If you’re always around negative people, you’ll eventually adopt their mindset. This isn’t to say that we don’t have autonomy over our minds but prevention is always better than cure. So if you’re struggling with fostering a more positive mindset, cut off cynical friends and surround yourself with positive people.
Spend less time on social media
We live in a digital age and with that comes social media. Social media is a great tool for creating, sharing and networking but with the good comes the bad. With everyone trying to live their best lives online, it doesn’t take long until you start the comparison game and rob yourself of positivity. To keep those vibrations high, limit the amount of time you spend scrolling on your phone and anything you do see, take with a pinch of salt.
Try not to be judgemental
As humans, we can be quick to judge so make sure you’re not being too judgy. To attract the positive energy you seek, be more empathetic, especially towards strangers, as you never know what someone is going through. If you’re less judgemental, you’ll also attract less judgement and more acceptance from others.
Be grateful
Being grateful instantly puts you in a position to attract more positivity. Not only does research support that gratitude increases happiness and decreases depression but being grateful can also lead to new and improved relationships. Whenever you show appreciation or recognise another person’s contributions, you’re making that person feel good. Little things like saying thank you, giving out compliments or just being there go a long way.
Repeat daily affirmations
A great way to attract good thoughts is by filling your mind with positive affirmations. Affirmations are short but powerful statements that you say to yourself. These can help you rewire your mind, focus on a goal and rid yourself of limiting beliefs. This could be anything from ‘I believe in myself’ to ‘I am rich’! Tell yourself what you want to believe in and repeat it enough times so it sticks! You can write them in a journal and read them daily to keep on track.
It’s important to give out good energy in order to receive what you want. I hope this piece helps you to keep that same (positive) energy.
