Nothing is better than making wholesome plans with your friends, taking cute pictures and having a long overdue catch-up. As we get older, it can be harder to connect with friends as often as we would like to so this is your sign to find a free weekend and plan to do one of these activities. No matter your budget, we’ve got something to help you reconnect with your friends and create the best memories.
Organise a sponsored activity
If you want to give something back to your community, you and your friends can work together and organise a sponsored activity. This is the perfect opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone, help others and do it all with your besties right by your side.
You could do a dance challenge, a read-a-thon to raise money for local libraries, or even crochet cute hats for your local neonatal unit; your options are endless! The beauty of this is that you can find something to suit you and your friends, whether you’re more into exercise, crafts or anything in between. The sense of achievement you will feel altogether is something you’ll never forget.
Do a pottery class
If you’re in the mood to get creative, book a pottery class with your friends. Not only will have something to remember the day by but pottery is proven to reduce stress, improve focus, encourage a positive outlook and also give you the opportunity to express yourself. If you’re wanting a new hobby, this could be where it starts as you will be able to meet so many like-minded people and expand your friendship group even further!
Get a piercing
If you and your friends are fans of piercings then going together is one of the best things you can do. Not only does it provide some moral support if you’re getting a more painful one but every time you look at your piercings, you will think of each other. So, find a local piercing parlour and go get your matching piercings, then afterwards you can go shopping for some cute and sustainable flat-back earrings or tragus earrings. For those of you who haven’t got matching piercings with your friends before, it is genuinely such a cute and wholesome activity that you and your friends can always treasure.
Host a dinner party
If you love to show your care and affection through cooking then host a dinner party. Choose a dress code, send out invites, take your time decorating the table (something simple like picking wildflowers from the garden will look beautiful), and choose a menu you know your friends will love.
Tapas is a great choice as you can include lots of different things and even ask your friends to bring a dish each to help take the pressure off! Plan some games for after the main course and then choose a super delicious pudding. From here, you can enjoy some cocktail-making or have a chilled night watching your favourite films. If you’re short on money, splitting the cost between friends and eating delicious food is such a great alternative to eating or drinking out, plus you have the space to truly be yourselves and relax with each other!
Have a clothes-exchange day
Last but not least, a super wholesome thing to do is host a clothes-exchange day! Tell all of your friends to put together a bag of clothes they’ve gone off or don’t wear anymore, then invite everyone round for the day. Everyone can lay their clothes out and you can go around and swap different pieces! You will likely find some new pieces for your wardrobe, plus it’s such an eco-friendly alternative to going shopping that will save you money too.
You can also spend some time trying on different outfits, including some of your current clothes and then some of your friends’ pieces, to put together some gorgeous outfits! You might not commit to completely swapping, but this is a really fun way to plan your outfits for your next night out. Put on a few drinks and snacks and prepare to have so much fun on a budget (that also helps the environment, it’s a win-win right!).
Final thoughts
Even if it’s in a month’s time that you make these plans, you will have something to look forward to and time will fly by! We hope that we’ve shown you how you can have the most wholesome day with your friends, no matter your budget. From swapping outfits to hosting tapas and raising money for charity, make sure to take loads of photos so you always remember these special moments spent with friends.
