1. TSASHA – Ginger Me (Sexy Afrobeats Mix)
London based DJ TSASHA (pronounced Sasha), has dropped one of my favourite Afrobeats mixes to date! Sexy is the best word to use to describe how it makes you feel and how bad it makes you wish you were at a function hear it!
2. London Hill – Statement Freestyle
The ‘Project Princess’ freestyles over the iconic Dipset Anthem instrumental, reminding us that talent in New York City is endless. She is definitely a great addition and contender in the new age of women in rap.
3. Ayoni – The Patriots
I’m obsessed with the way Barbados-born singer, Ayoni, utilises her voice. It’s an instrument all on its own and I think all her songs could be a cappella and they’d still be just as powerful.
4. Eliza Shaddad – Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood
I heard this on the new Netflix show, Behind Her Eyes, and I knew I had to download it. The Scottish-Sudanese singer’s rendition of the Nina Simone classic showcases her demanding and brilliant voice which reminds me of an opera singer.
