We respect your privacy and give you full control over your data. If you no longer wish to use Yes Gurl, you can permanently delete your account and personal information at any time.
1. How to delete your account
You can delete your account directly within the Yes Gurl app:
- Open the Yes Gurl app
- Go to Profile → Settings
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your choice
Once confirmed, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems within a reasonable period.
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by emailing us at app@yesgurl.co.uk.
2. What data is deleted
When you delete your account, the following information is permanently removed:
- Your email address and login credentials
- Your name, profile photo, and bio
- Personality test results and prompts
- Chat messages and Link Up activity
- Account preferences and settings
3. What data may be retained temporarily
To comply with legal and safety obligations, some limited data may be retained for a short period (up to 30 days) before full deletion:
- Internal logs for fraud prevention or abuse detection
- Records required for legal or regulatory compliance
After this period, all data is permanently erased from our systems.
4. Verification
For security reasons, we may verify your identity before processing deletion requests received by email.
