Upstairs at Ronnie’s
Upstairs at Ronnie’s is an intimate bar and live jazz music venue. Separate from the main venue (Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club), it’s renowned as a place to enjoy your evenings in style. A range of live music and DJs plays every night of the week to cater to all tastes in the arts.
But Viva Cuba has to be our favourite! Continuing the historical association between Ronnie Scott’s and the island of Cuba, Upstairs at Ronnie’s delivers Afro-Latin jazz every Friday.
The bar comes to life with a lineup of fresh Cuban bands that ignite the venue. Belting trombones, the beat of the conga and sultry Spanish vocalists fill the floor with splendour.
And the bar never fails to draw a fun and friendly crowd! A mixture of pro and amateur dancers gun to the floor, twisting and jibing to the beat of each set. Despite your skill or even if you prefer to sit at the sidelines, you’re sure to have fun.
Although Ronnie’s opens at 6pm, live music doesn’t start until 9pm.
But this gives you plenty of time to order drinks or rely on their rotating table service. With an award-winning list, it’ll be hard to be disappointed by their selection of drinks and mixes.
Indulge in an array of champagnes from classics, vintage to rosé. Or if you’re in the mood for wine, whites and reds are categorised from light, medium and aromatic, to fuller bodied bottles. Their menu of cocktails speaks for itself but if you’re not in the mood for alcohol, there are also
non-alcoholic beverages to choose from.
The venue allows free entry before 7pm, then charges thereafter. Although you can’t buy tickets in advance, you can reserve tables for groups of 8 and above online.
